The Best Pumpkin Patches in Providence, RI

Harvest season is a time for new beginnings. Participating in harvesting of crops takes you back to the land, providing a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Experience the joys of autumn by picking your own pumpkins from these patches in Providence, Rhode Island.

Salisbury Farm

Historic Salisbury Farm is a wonderful place to spend an autumn afternoon. Salisbury Farm, founded in the 1840s and farmed by seven generations of the Salisbury family, lets you pick your own crops - pumpkins, strawberries, and raspberries. The farm has an excellent selection of pumpkins each fall, offers free hayrides on weekends, and is the home of New England's original corn maze. Thousands of people visit the farm and maze each year. Salisbury Farm was also featured on an episode of Historic Rhode Island, and picking pumpkins at the farm is a great way to visit a piece of Rhode Island history.

Barden Family Orchard

This spacious, multi-generational family owned orchard and farm located just outside of Providence has been growing fruit since 1931. Pumpkins are available for picking seven days a week from Labor Day to Halloween. Barden's plump pumpkins are a sight to behold. In addition to pumpkins, you can also sample and pick your own apples, blueberries, tomatoes, raspberries, and blackberries straight from the trees and vines when in season.

Four Town Farm

The "pick-your-own" pumpkin patch at Four Town Farm, located a few miles east of Providence, offers an experience which can't be beat. You will ride on the farm's tractor directly to a small corn maze where you can pick your perfect pumpkins. Strawberries, peas, raspberries, and flowers are available for picking earlier in the year.
